Think You’ve Got What It Takes? Compete at ART 64 for $20,000

Paint live, push your creative limits, and compete for a $20,000 grand prize at ART 64 presented by North Shore Bank in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, on June 5–6, 2026. Artist applications are officially open.

Now in its fifth year, ART 64 is a one-of-a-kind live painting tournament that brings together artists from across the country (and beyond) for an unforgettable weekend of creativity, connection, and community.

What Makes ART 64 Different

ART 64 isn’t a traditional art show. It’s a bracket-style live painting competition featuring 64 artists, three rounds of painting, and real-time public voting that determines who advances.

Every participating artist is guaranteed at least $100, with prize money increasing each round. The final sixteen artists compete for the $20,000 grand prize.

Beyond the prizes, ART 64 is about the experience: painting in front of thousands, trying something new, and sharing your process with an engaged, curious audience.

A Stage for Artists

In 2025, ART 64 welcomed artists from14 states, Spain, and Mexico. More than11,000 attendees came to The Village of Wauwatosa to watch artists work, vote for their favorites, and purchase original paintings. Over100 pieces were sold throughout the weekend.

Many artists leave ART 64 with new customers, new connections, and renewed creative momentum.

Last year’s grand prize winner, Jianqiao Luan, shared:

“Winning the grand prize has made me more confident, and it has encouraged me to create more artworks. ART 64 changed how I think and my process when I paint. It was a great opportunity to try new things and challenge myself.”
