Hi, I'm Kat I'm an artist and founder of Create! Magazine and this community.
Six years ago I decided that I wanted to be around like-minded ambitious people to share wins, resources, strategies and cheer each other on. I wanted a space where we could talk openly about the realities of building creative careers—the challenges, the wins, the questions no one else seemed to be asking.
What started as a small group in 2020 has grown into a thriving community of working artists who genuinely support each other. We've built something real here.
I've spent nearly a decade as a professional contemporary painter with international exhibitions, and most importantly experience navigating every aspect of building a sustainable art career.
Create! Magazine has grown into a thriving independent platform with a print magazine, podcast (1M+ downloads), and two books on creative entrepreneurship (co-written with Alicia Puig). The business generates multi-six figures in revenue through multiple streams.
This isn't theory. It's lived experience from artists who are building sustainable creative careers every single day.

I'm a late bloomer—I've been creating art for a long time, but only recently started building a serious career out of it. I was trained when artists distanced themselves from anything commercial, so I never truly got to know the art world. Now I have a lot of catching up to do. The Create! No problem! Everything is recorded and added to the member library. We rotate call times to accommodate members across different time zones, but you never have to attend live to get full value.
