Emergency Exit
Cohle Gallery | Mahón, Menorca | June, 2025

Co-curated by artists Tania Marmolejo and Ekaterina Popova, Emergency Exit brings together twenty contemporary artists from around the world in a meditation on respite and reconnection. The exhibition reimagines the gallery as a sanctuary from contemporary life's relentlessness—not as escape, but as creative and emotional release.

Featuring works ranging from figurative to abstract across diverse mediums, the show embraces the vibrancy and tranquil rhythms of the Balearic Islands. Presented in collaboration with Create! Magazine, which dedicated its Summer 2025 issue to the exhibition's themes and artists.

Wild + Create! collective Member Wall
PxP Contemporary | Philadelphia, PA | January 5–17, 2024

Co-curated by Ekaterina Popova and Alicia Puig, this dual exhibition featured over 80 works exploring the theme "Wild" through landscapes, abstraction, sculpture, and mixed media. The show included an international roster of contemporary artists alongside the Create! Collective (formerly Art Queens) Community Member Wall—celebrating the voices of women-identifying artists, leaders, and curators from our community founded in 2020.

Presented at the Paradigm Arts Building in partnership with PxP Contemporary, an online gallery dedicated to accessible contemporary art.

Chroma
PxP Contemporary + Create! Magazine | Philadelphia, PA | JULY 2023

A juried exhibition featuring over 40 local, national, and international emerging artists exploring color, vibrancy, and intensity across diverse mediums—from paper cutting and painting to wall sculpture, mixed media, and collage.

Co-curated by Alicia Puig (CEO, PxP Contemporary; Director, Create! Magazine) and Ekaterina Popova (Founder, Create! Magazine), Chroma celebrated the expressive potential of color and its myriad interpretations in contemporary art.

Presented at the Paradigm Arts Building in partnership with Paradigm Gallery + Studio.

In Your Own Words
Hastings College | Hastings, Nebraska | January 23–February 22, 2020

A national juried exhibition featuring 20 artists exploring identity, nature, technology, and art-making through landscape, contemporary still-life, figurative work, and abstraction. Selected from 77 applicants across 30 states, the show highlighted diverse media and artistic expression representing a cultural snapshot of contemporary art practices.

Co-curated by Ekaterina Popova and Alicia Puig for Create! Magazine, the exhibition prioritized giving voice to women and minority artists often marginalized in the art world.

Presented at the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center in partnership with Hastings College Department of Visual Arts. Featured in Create! Magazine February 2020 issue.

Paradigm Gallery + Studio | Philadelphia, PA | January 27–February 18, 2017

A collaborative exhibition bringing together 13 contemporary artists previously featured in Create! Magazine and FreshPaintMagazine. Co-curated by Paradigm Gallery + Studio and Ekaterina Popova, the show celebrated the diversity of contemporary art practices—from playful abstract sculpture and intricate collage to figurative portraiture, mixed media, formalist painting, and imaginative interiors.

The exhibition marked years of creative collaboration between Popova's publications and Paradigm Gallery, providing additional exposure to artists working across the country while highlighting Philadelphia's vibrant contemporary art scene.
