Announcing the Finalists for Issue #55: The Winter Solstice Edition

Art by Robin Crofut-Brittingham

We are thrilled to officially announce the selected artists for Create! Magazine Issue #55. This special edition is our designated Winter Solstice Issue and serves as a celebration of light returning after the dark. It is a collection that explores themes of introspection, resilience, and the spark of creativity that keeps us warm during the coldest months of the year.

A Note from the Curator

We were honored to have Sarah Potter serve as the guest curator for this edition. Sarah is a renowned curator, writer, and tarot reader who brings a unique intuitive perspective to the contemporary art world.

Regarding the selection process, Sarah shared these thoughts

In curating the Winter Solstice issue of Create! Magazine, I was reminded how powerfully artists reflect the soul of the times. Narrowing down selections was difficult because every piece carried its own spark. Ultimately, I chose the works that felt like lanterns: images and stories that illuminate resilience, warmth, and possibility. In dark seasons, creativity becomes an act of hope, and artists show us the way forward simply by sharing their light.
