Synthetic
Synthetic is a digital artist whose work explores fractured, surreal realms where emotion and energy take shape visually. Through layered textures, vibrant highlights, and warped forms, their pieces evoke movement, flux, and quiet intensity. Shadows and cool-toned palettes contrast with bursts of luminous color, creating compositions that feel both intimate and otherworldly.
The work often inhabits a contemplative, ritualistic space—moments suspended between endings and beginnings, where subtle transformations unfold. Drawing on digital and mixed-media techniques, Synthetic creates visuals that feel alive, charged with memory, energy, and poetic resonance.
Rooted in the aesthetics of dark surrealism, their art seeks to capture fleeting, liminal moments: a pause in time, a shift in perception, or a whisper of the unseen. Each piece is intended to feel like a small incantation, a spark of energy or reflection that invites viewers to linger, contemplate, and recognize the hidden currents of change and renewal in everyday life.
Artist Statement
My work is a meditation on transformation, perception, and the subtle forces that shape our inner worlds. I work with digital layering, texture, and distortion to give energy, memory, and emotion a visible form—creating spaces that feel both otherworldly and grounded.
I’m drawn to moments of quiet power: the pause before something changes, the edges of perception where forms shift, and the momentary traces of energy that linger after a thought or action. Colors and highlights act like signals within these spaces, cutting through darkness, marking movement, and giving rhythm to the stillness.
There’s a ritualistic quality to the work. Each piece grows out of attention to timing, layering, and visual cadence. I’m fascinated by the tension between fragility and resilience, decay and emergence—the ways small shifts can feel profound.
