Jenni Stringleman, featured in both Create! Magazine and the Create! Magazine 10th Anniversary Book, is an artist working out of Devonport, New Zealand, primarily concentrating on the human figure and portraiture, with a leaning towards an expressionist, confident, and textured approach. Her paintings currently emphasize feminine confidence and the elevation of everyday figures relaxed at the beach, for example, or dancing in a club. Friendship features strongly in almost every painting, as does a complete lack of self-consciousness, something Jenni feels strongly about as a mother of two teen daughters.

Her work often has cubist and kaleidoscopic tendencies with a process-led love of color and rhythm. Complex multi-figure scenes, influenced by modern painters such as Zoey Frank, are constantly returning subjects for Jenni.

Jenni teaches emerging artists in small groups from her studio, gives artist talks, and regularly appears on the Creative Kind podcast. Jenni has painted full-time since 2012, has had five successful solo shows within New Zealand, and appeared in multiple group shows and international publications, including Benetton's permanent exhibition Imago Mundi Collection: New Zealand: Kiwi Consciousness, Your Home And Garden NZ “Women We Love” in 2025, and Create! Magazine's Issue 14.

Jenni is currently returning to a full-time practice after receiving treatment for ovarian cancer, a subject which she educates on wherever possible. Jenni holds diplomas in Graphic Design (AUT 1991) and 3D Animation (Media Design School 2005).
