MEET YOUR COACH

Hi, I’m Kat! IT’S NICE TO MEET YOU!

I started my indie publishing journey with just an idea and a laptop—no design degree, no publishing background, just a passion for creating something meaningful. In 2013, I founded Create! Magazine (originally FreshPaintMagazine) as a response to my own struggles in finding my place in the art world after graduating with a BFA. Rejected from job after job, I decided to take matters into my own hands and build a platform for emerging contemporary artists.

What began as a humble indie zine has since grown into an international print publication, podcast, and vibrant community that supports and celebrates artists from all over the world. Create! Magazine has opened doors for artists, offering them opportunities to be featured through curated calls for art, social media, and our print issues.

I’m living proof that you don’t need a design degree or big budget to build something impactful. Now, I’m here to help you turn your own creative vision into a reality. Let’s create something extraordinary together.
