Sarah Creasman Barnett, eatured in both Create! Magazine and the Create! Magazine 10th Anniversary Book, is a painter based in Dallas, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 2009. Sarah is a mother and practicing attorney in addition to being a highly sought-after commission artist. She has been featured in many local and national arts publications such as Create! Magazine, Artist Magazine, World of Interiors, and The Scout Guide. In her personal work, she creates large-scale figurative paintings with narrative underscores, primarily in acrylic and mixed media. Her art is stylistically unique and influenced by modern masters like David Hockney and Edward Hopper.
This current series celebrates beauty as agency through a bold and saturated palette asserting visibility before narrative. These paintings are layered with marks made by the artist’s small children, which embed into the structure of the pieces, showing an intentional, though paradoxical, collaboration. Sarah exhibits in Dallas with thMTHRSHPgallery.
