Chris McGuire

Chris, who received his B.F.A. in Illustration from CSULB, is an artist and illustrator in Huntington Beach, California. He has exhibited in several galleries, including La Luz de Jesus Gallery, Brea Gallery, Gallery Nucleus, and Gallery1988.


Artist Statement

I'm interested in the precarious relationship humans have with nature, and specifically the gap between our sense of dominion over the natural world and our actual vulnerability within it. By placing oversized animals alongside people in mundane, everyday moments, I try to make that dissonance quietly visible.
