Artist Statement
This project was born out of my journey to heal from abuse and understand my PTSD. It’s about coming home to my body and finding ways to reconnect with myself.
The intention behind it has always been twofold:
To create space for my own experience, expression, and healing.
To spark conversations that inspire others to reflect on their own journeys and explore what healing might look like for them.
Reflections is an ongoing series.
Reflections: An Unveiling, Pt. 1
In a world where appearances often overshadow authenticity, this is an invitation to explore the transformative journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. This photography series tells a deeply personal story of uncovering worthiness, reclaiming power, and honoring the beauty and the difficulty of feeling it all—the grief, the grace, and the growth that come when we allow ourselves to fully face what is, and find our way through.
The series captures the rollercoaster of transformation: moments of clarity, breakdown, and breakthrough. It reflects the idea that true change begins within.
Central to the work is the concept of masks: the roles we play and the personas we project. These masks can both protect and obscure, acting as barriers to fully understanding and accepting our true selves.
Reflections: Black Roses, Pt. 2
These photos confront the darkness of betrayal and the harm done. The photographs explore the raw, unfiltered reality of facing trauma and abuse wounds head-on.
I was learning that healing is not about bypassing pain. It requires witnessing it fully, holding space for the anger, the sorrow, and the parts of ourselves that have been buried under survival mode.
Reflections: Finding Stillness, Pt. 3
Healing is not only about facing the past; it is about choosing how to move forward. The third chapter explores coming home to the body, slowing down, creating space for self-compassion, and embracing stillness as a tool for transformation.
For so long, trauma taught me urgency: to run, to numb, to survive. But slowing down taught me something deeper: discernment, presence, and connection.
These are limited editions: 100 of each print. These are still life images. I created each shot in-camera using traditional methods of lighting, mirrors, and angles. Being hands-on is part of the process and catharsis for me.
