Bianca Paraschiv

Bianca Paraschiv (born 1998) is an emerging Romanian artist whose practice unfolds at the intersection of painting and graphic arts, articulating a refined visual language rooted in introspection, structure, and expressive balance. She is a graduate of the National University of Arts in Bucharest, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Painting in 2020, followed by a Master’s degree in Strategies of Plastic Representation in Painting in 2022.

Her artistic discipline was shaped early on through three years of piano studies and six years of classical ballet during adolescence—experiences that cultivated a heightened sensitivity to rhythm, movement, precision, and form. These formative influences continue to resonate in her work, informing both compositional equilibrium and gestural fluidity.

To date, Bianca Paraschiv has participated in over 80 group exhibitions in Romania and internationally, including galleries, museums, biennials, art fairs, and major international competitions. She has also held four solo exhibitions, each expanding the conceptual and visual scope of her practice.

A significant milestone in her career is her selection to represent Romania at Expo 2025 Osaka within the Romanian Pavilion. This prestigious global event brings together contemporary artists and creators from around the world, exploring innovation across art, culture, and technology under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” a concept that closely aligns with Bianca’s artistic inquiry. In the same year, she was selected to be part of the Romanian Pavilion team at the London Design Biennale, hosted at Somerset House, London. Earlier in her career, she also participated in World Expo 2020 Dubai, marking an early international presence.

Her work is deeply influenced by philosophy, psychology, architecture, and human anatomy, seamlessly merging painting with graphic expression. Bianca works across multiple media—including acrylic, oil, charcoal, liner, and pastel—each contributing to the layered complexity of her visual narratives.

Over the past four years, her practice has been recognized through 22 national and international awards, with distinctions from Italy, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Belgium, and Romania. Her works have been featured in numerous art catalogues and magazines, consolidating her growing presence within the contemporary European art scene.
