Andrew Traub

Andrew Traub is an artist and chef living and working in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of Pratt Institute with a major in Sculpture, after school he gravitated toward painting and cooking. Food has always been a large part of Andrew’s work and life, from learning how to cook eggs from his grandmother at a young age, to working in some of the busiest restaurants as a chef in New York and California.


Artist Statement

Food has always been a big influence in my life. I learned how to cook at a young age and have always been fascinated by the food drives our culture. I try and put it on a pedestal in my drawings and paintings, wondering how future cultures would look back and see what ours has become. Creating the myth of what people view food as and how they might view it in the future by using simple colors and landscapes.
